We decided on the general aesthetic that we are going to be working towards in the next month and a bit. It is quite a departure from the previous version, but it is a welcome change! :) 

Game Description: Build your own dystopian city, grow your own population, attract hordes of tourists.

Suck their money (their souls).

Happiness drugs for/ Employ (imprison) citizens and tourists.

Upgrade your city, choose the way your city grows. (Building more residential than commercial etc.)

Background story:

You as a player are building your own city as a city mayor that can suck up their residents and tourists to put them to work! You decide the way it develops and how much money it produces.

  • Rare Event: Tourist Horde! How many can you get to visit your city at once?

    • Suck up tourists and residents to force them to work, Increasing your income but lowering your overall happiness.

March 3rd, 2018

Cntrl started out as a 2 week clicker project about capitalism. It had a very different aesthetic and style. Here was the description of our completely different game in March. 

"In an unjust world, you are the 1%. You create opportunities for the working class, recruit them to your city and make money off their hard labor.

You build comfortable lodging, public transport, better healthcare and recruit life coaches; to further your own gains.

You then crush them with your foot. You profit. You are the 1%. Money makes the world go around after all."

At first, instead of sucking the citizens up, players were able to stomp them instead. We quickly realized that extreme violence was not the way to go.
